Ellasa is a restaurant brand concept inspired by Greek coastal culture and Mediterranean hospitality. The identity draws from the visual language of the Greek islands, combining architectural clarity, natural textures, and cultural references into a cohesive brand system. The goal was to create a visual identity that communicates place, heritage, and atmosphere without relying on literal representation. Rather than depicting Greece directly, the system translates its atmosphere through abstraction — focusing on light, material contrast, and cultural symbolism. This approach frames the brand as an experience of place rather than a literal representation of it.

The type system references proportions and rhythm found in traditional Greek letterforms, while maintaining a clean, modern structure suitable for hospitality branding.
The result is a typographic voice that feels rooted in heritage but accessible in contemporary applications.
The identity system is designed to operate across multiple touchpoints, including menus, packaging, and environmental applications.
Rather than relying on decorative consistency, the system uses controlled repetition of color, material reference, and compositional rhythm to maintain coherence.
It positions Ellasa as an interpretation of Mediterranean hospitality — calm, atmospheric, and culturally grounded.
